Syniti Knowledge Platform

Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) is a metadata catalog, lineage, and business glossary product. After SAP migrations or replication flows, analytics teams and business users need to know what data means, where it came from, and whether they can trust it. SKP answers those questions in a shared platform.

SKP pairs naturally with Syniti ADMM (for migration lineage) and Syniti Data Replication (for ongoing flow lineage). It also indexes non-Syniti data pipelines so the catalog reflects the actual data estate rather than only Syniti-produced outputs.

Merito sells SKP licenses and delivers catalog design, glossary standards, lineage wiring, and training. Most governance programs fail because they stood up a catalog that nobody maintains, so Merito's engagement focuses on the operating motion that keeps SKP current.

Merito's experience is that catalogs age out within two quarters if ownership is not clear. SKP is only useful to the degree the business glossary is maintained by named stewards with a review cadence. We spend the first month on governance design, not tool configuration.

For customers running Syniti ADMM migrations or SDR replication flows, SKP is the natural governance layer because lineage comes for free. For customers with no other Syniti investment, SKP still works but the business case is narrower.

Merito recommends SKP for regulated-industry customers and for data-intensive analytics programs where lineage matters. For smaller programs with simple data estates, lighter-weight catalog tools may suffice.
