Tightest SAP-native process discovery product on the market
Signavio Process Insights pulls directly from SAP ECC and S/4HANA event data with minimal setup. Merito-led engagements often have first mined insights within two to four weeks.
SAP • Process intelligence
SAP Signavio is how you find out what your processes actually do today and design what they should do after S/4HANA.
Merito sells SAP Signavio licenses and delivers the process discovery, mining, redesign, and governance work that turns Signavio into the operating model for SAP transformation.
What it is
SAP Signavio is SAP's process intelligence and process management suite, acquired in 2021 and now a flagship transformation product. It combines Process Manager (as-is and to-be process modeling), Process Intelligence (process mining on SAP event data), Process Insights (S/4HANA fast-track discovery), Journey Modeler (customer and employee journeys), and Process Governance (approvals and change workflow).
For SAP programs, Signavio is where the question "what does this process actually look like?" stops being answered by interviews and starts being answered by mined event data. That changes the conversation. You configure S/4HANA against processes that exist, not processes people remember.
Merito sells Signavio licenses and delivers the discovery, mining, redesign, and governance work. Our focus is making Signavio an input to delivery, not a library of beautiful diagrams that nobody references after the transformation slides.
Ideal use cases
What it is best at
Signavio Process Insights pulls directly from SAP ECC and S/4HANA event data with minimal setup. Merito-led engagements often have first mined insights within two to four weeks.
Process Manager covers both directions. Mined as-is processes and designed to-be processes live in the same collaboration hub, which keeps scope conversations honest.
Capabilities in LeanIX link to process models in Signavio, which feed Fit-to-Standard workshops in Cloud ALM. Merito uses these connections so Signavio is not a standalone process museum.
Signavio Process Insights and baseline Signavio entitlements are included in most RISE with SAP contracts. That changes the conversation from "should we buy Signavio?" to "are we using the Signavio we already have?"
Core capabilities
Process mining on SAP event data plus fast-track S/4HANA readiness analysis. This is usually where Signavio earns its seat for SAP customers.
Process Insights for S/4HANA
Fast-track discovery of processes running in SAP ECC or S/4HANA with pre-built process packages for order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and others.
Process Intelligence
Full process mining with custom event logs, variant analysis, conformance checking, and KPI dashboards.
Root cause and rework analysis
Identify where rework, manual steps, and workarounds hide, with evidence a business leader can act on.
Model, review, and publish process content. Where as-is discovery and to-be design become shared artifacts the whole program works against.
BPMN 2.0 process modeling
Standards-based process models with variant support, sub-processes, and role assignment.
Collaboration and review workflow
Review cycles, approvals, comments, and sign-off tied to process owners.
Process Collaboration Hub publishing
A read-only portal for the broader organization to find, read, and follow process documentation.
Customer and employee journey mapping plus structured process change governance. Useful on programs where end-to-end journeys cross multiple process areas.
Journey Modeler
Map customer, partner, and employee journeys across products and touchpoints, with direct links to the underlying processes.
Process Governance
Formal change requests against process content, with approval workflow and audit trail.

Most RISE customers have Process Insights entitlements they have not activated. Merito reviews your current contract, scopes Process Intelligence if needed, and owns the implementation.
Merito point of view
Merito's experience is that programs which treat Signavio as a documentation exercise get documentation. Programs which treat Signavio as the contract between business process owners and the build team get transformation outcomes. The difference is whether the Signavio model is what Fit-to-Standard workshops reference, what Cloud ALM task plans inherit, and what SAP ECT and Tricentis scope their test automation against.
For SAP programs specifically, Merito recommends starting with Process Insights even if a full Process Intelligence engagement is eventually in scope. Process Insights is fast, SAP-packaged, and included in most RISE contracts. It answers the "where is the rework" question in weeks rather than quarters.
Merito recommends Process Governance as an add-on only once there is a real process library that people reference. Turning on formal governance before the content exists creates friction without benefit. Most customers are better off running informal governance for a quarter, then layering Process Governance in.
