Release Updates
Every Tricentis release Merito has reviewed, newest first. Each update explains what changed, who it affects and what to plan before you upgrade.
Tricentis Sealights September 2026 updates SAP Coverage Analysis so release teams can inspect every executable and object affected by a change, not only coverage gaps. Each object now shows a Covered or Uncovered status, while an optional Uncovered Objects Only filter supports focused remediation. This gives release owners clearer evidence of what testing exercised before approving SAP changes.
Tricentis Tosca Cloud September 2026 introduces local group creation for role and workspace-access management, alongside existing SSO-synchronized groups. The release also improves playlist setup through a Configurations tab that displays available characteristics for selection. These changes help release owners apply clearer access controls and reduce configuration errors in test execution workflows.
Tricentis qTest September 2026 rolls out the refreshed qTest Manager user interface to all users. The update standardizes visual presentation across the product while allowing a temporary opt-out; however, opting out excludes users from future enhancements built on the new interface. Release owners should plan communications, role-based validation, and a controlled adoption path before making the new experience their organizational standard.
Tricentis Tosca Cloud August 2026 introduces the Tricentis Product Expert in product documentation, providing AI summaries and answers grounded across Tricentis manuals. The release also allows contributor-role users to delete assets and folders in Organize your inventory. Enterprise teams should define deletion authority, review role assignments, and validate the staged rollout in each environment.
Tricentis SeaLights July 2026 adds Coverage Analysis, which consolidates coverage data across services, test stages, and teams into a shared view. Teams can pin coverage to a sprint, lock it to a release window, or use rolling time ranges, with automatic refreshes every 15 minutes. Change Coverage and failing-test visibility help release managers assess whether modified code has been tested before approving deployment.
Tricentis qTest August 2026 rolls out the refreshed qTest Manager user experience to all users, following a phased introduction. Organizations can still opt out of the new interface, but opting out prevents access to future user-interface improvements. The practical priority is controlled adoption: update operating guidance, validate critical workflows, and monitor user readiness across QA and release teams.
Tricentis Tosca Cloud July 2026 introduces prompt-based API message generation through MCP. Users describe the API interaction they need, and the AI assistant creates an API message in the API playground. For enterprise teams, the value is faster API test authoring with human review, asset governance, and controlled adoption still required.
Tricentis NeoLoad 2026.2 introduces three focused capabilities: reading test secrets from an external vault, connecting tests to MCP servers, and using a predefined SAP Fiori correlation framework. For enterprise release teams, these additions can reduce hard-coded credential risk, shorten maintenance work for dynamic SAP Fiori sessions, and support controlled adoption of MCP-connected testing workflows. Merito can help define the access model, pipeline controls, and evidence required to operate these capabilities at scale.
qTest Manager updates help enterprises improve testing governance, automate quality workflows, and gain better release visibility through AI controls, Tosca Cloud integration, and enhanced operational insights.
